With weather intervening for a "Super Saturday" of Women's Grand Finals, only two of the scheduled games were able to be played. Division One was rained out and has been rescheduled to be played at Springvale on Saturday 13 March, starting at 2.00 PM.
MELBOURNE is Division Three Champion after wrapping up its game in six innings over a gallant Footscray, who were in the contest early but could not withstand the Melbourne offence. Melbourne went through the season undefeated and today was a fitting finale for a team that had dominated the competition.
Although missing the Grand Final in Division One, DONCASTER derived plenty from its season with a pennant in Division Two. The Dragons (pictured below) led throughout in this game and held a clear break as the weather started to close in. Story: DONCASTER CELEBRATES SECONDS PENNANT.

The Division One "Clash of the Felines" was called off without a pitch being thrown as a severe storm hit south-eastern Melbourne. With golf-ball size hailstones and torrential rain, the Malvern ground was quickly awash to dash any hopes of a start.
Congratulations to the Melbourne and Doncaster clubs on their success. For the Big Cats and the Cougars, it will be back again next week for take two.
