In 2010, Baseball Victoria was pleased to launch the Kangaroos Touring Teams. The program is a baseball participation, friendship and cultural experience for boys and girls in Under 12 and Under 14 age groups.

The program has five major aims, being:

1. Create an environment in which kids can have fun
2. Learn about baseball through travelling, training and playing
3. Teach competitiveness while maintaining emphasis on sportsmanship
4. Provide at least one 'once in a lifetime' opportunity to experience international travel and a different culture
5. Increase the retention rate of players at U/16 level by positive experiences in U12/U15 age groups.

This program is not designed as a high performance development program. It is focused on skill development, participation, fun and cultural exchanges.

The cost of the trip for each player includes airfares & all airport taxes, ground transport, travel insurance, accommodation and meals (U12 is billet and 14U dorms), entry to all MLB games and sightseeing attractions, full uniform with name & number on the back, swap gifts and caps and other walk-out clothing items.
