School Sport Victoria
School Sport Victoria (SSV) provides quality sporting opportunities for Victorian school students and supports teachers in the delivery of physical and sport education programs. SSV is run by the Department's School Sport Unit.
The operations of SSV are overseen by a Board of Management. SSV was formed on 1 January, 2010 by the merger of the Victorian Primary Schools Sport Association (VPSSA) and the Victorian Secondary Schools Sport Association (VSSSA), who had supported the delivery of interschool sporting competitions to Victorian students for over one hundred years.
SSV manage and coordinate sport competitions for Region, Division and District within Victoria for Primary and Secondary schools, as well as State Teams.
For Tee-Ball (Primary Schools) and Baseball (Secondary Schools), SSV conduct Regional and District Finals. SSV also selects of a State team, which participates at the National Schoolboys Championships (17U), usually held annually in May.
