Women's Baseball

Men can't have all the fun!

Women's baseball competitions are offered by Baseball Victoria's Summer League (BVSL) at a range of playing standards during the summer months, and the Dandenong Baseball Association in the winter months.

Commencing in 1994/95, BVSL Women's competition is now contested by clubs in three divisions during the summer months, with games traditionally played on Saturday.

Recognised as the first state to highlight and provide opportunities for females, Victoria conducts a Summer League competition that continues as Australia's premier baseball competition for women in the sport.

Competition matches are generally played within metropolitan Melbourne and proximate centres including Werribee and Geelong.

The Summer League clubs consistently produce players for any number of national and state teams while catering for persons who are new to the game or simply want to be a part of a healthy club and sporting environment.

The Dandenong Baseball Association host a women's competition that features many players wishing to continue their love affair with baseball over the so called 'off-season'.

Women and girls also participate in Seniors, Masters and Junior competitions around the state.

There is a place - and an opportunity - for everyone who wants to play our great game.
