2009/2010 SENIOR FINALS SERIES INFORMATION

MEN'S:

Division 1 & 2 Firsts: “BEST OF THREE GAME SERIES”
All games 9 innings with no time limit.
Extra innings if tied after 9 innings.
Mercy rule applied after 7 innings.

Division 1 & 2 Reserves “PAGE SYSTEM”
All games 9 innings with no time limit.
Extra innings if tied after 9 innings.
Mercy rule applied after 7 innings.

Division 1 & 2 Thirds & Fourths “PAGE SYSTEM”
Division 3 & 4
All games 7 innings with no time limit.
Extra innings if tied after 7 innings.
Mercy rule applied after 5 innings.

WOMEN'S:

All games 7 innings OR 2 hour 30 min time limit, with 5 minute rule.

Seven (7) Run rule does not apply in finals.

All games 9 innings OR 1 hour 45 min time limit, with 5 minute rule.

Division 2 ^1.00pm or 2.00pm ; Division 1 ^2.00pm or 4.00pm

VENUES:

All games are to be played as per above subject to allocations by the Pennant Committee.

Host Clubs are responsible for ground marking and provisions of play. If a base umpire needs to be provided this will be advised and is the responsibility of the host club.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible to participate in a finals round, a player must have competed in at least six competition games for the club during the currency of the season.
Note: Sunday two games in the one day, Saturday re schedules, Masters and mid week games all count for the six game eligibility status.

Only Sunday (Saturday women) games are counted for specific grade eligibility for finals. Players cannot play in lower teams in finals unless more than half of specific eligibility games are played in that lower section.

Players who are not registered and made current on My Club will be regarded as unregistered players as per By Law 13 and clubs will be fined the appropriate amount plus the full registration fee payable.

Clubs participating in Finals competition including juniors must be financial. Unfinancial clubs will not be allowed to participate in finals.

MELBOURNE BALLPARK:

Entrance cost for all Masters Finals and Division 1 & 2 Grand Finals played at Melbourne Ballpark as follows:
· $6 Adults
· $4 Concession/Pensioners with identification
· $1 Children (Under 14) with an accompanying adult

For Division 1 and 2 Grand Finals, Clubs may wish to submit a playing list for the players and officials (maximum 20 including coach/scorer). Admission for these people will be complementary. For all Masters finals, the usual entry fees apply.

BASEBALLS:

Baseball Victoria will provide Wilson match balls for:
Division 1 & 2 firsts finals matches (2 doz per 3 match series)
Women's Division 1, 2 & 3 Grand Finals (1 doz)
Junior State Grand Finals (1 doz)

Clubs are responsible for returning balls to the game and each Club is to supply an equal amount of Wilson baseballs required over and above this amount.

At club grounds each team shall provide two new approved baseballs of the same brand and have sufficient reserve balls in good condition, of the same brand. The home team shall consult the away team prior to the game to decide the brand. If unable to agree, the Umpire shall determine and both Clubs shall share expenses.

HIGHEST PLACED TEAM:

The highest placed team in finals will be designated as Home team, except if the lower team wins against the higher team and subsequently plays the team again during the finals, then that team will be re-seeded as higher and therefore the home team.

The home team shall occupy the 3rd Base dugout and field first.

PRE-GAME INFIELD/OUTFIELD:

Clubs will not be permitted onto the infield playing surface whilst ground staffs are completing their duties.

· Infield/Outfield times on main diamond to be allocated and advised separately.
· All warm ups and pre-game hitting will be taken on the outside diamond. Times will be advised along with infield/outfield.
