2010 Victorian Women's Teams - Selection Trials
Planning is well under way for another Victorian assault on the National Women’s Championships. The 2010 Championships will be held on the Gold Coast, from the 3rd – 10th April.
Garry Bitmead has once again been appointed Head Coach of the Victorian side.
Victoria have won the Women's Nationals nine times including three in a row over the past three years.
Women’s trials started on Sunday 17 January at Newport B.C, with some venues and times to be confirmed.
Selection for both of the Victorian Teams is conducted through selection trials. Players are required to register their interest on-line. See link below.
Following the trials period, a final squad will be selected, from which the two teams be announced.
Players are to attend all trials, unless prior arrangement has been sought from the Head Coach.
All players are to attend the trials:
- Dressed in full baseball uniform
- With all equipment required to play all positions they are trialing for (i.e. catchers bring their own catcher’s gear, first basemen should bring their glove, own bat, etc)
- With their own drinks, food and sunscreen

Essendon Baseball Club Boeing Reserve, Boeing Rd, Strathmore (Melways16 D5)
Monday Feb 1: 5:00pm till 8:30pm - Waverley Baseball Club
Napier Park, High Street Rd, Glen Waverley (Melways 71 J2)
Players interested in trying out for the Victorian teams are invited to register their interest as soon as possible.
